How my attendance/participation will contribute to my educational experience:
This will be the first conference where I present findings from my dissertation. This will also be one of the first conferences where I present research. This is also the first conference, other than the Society for Conservation Biology, where I have proposed an abstract. I will be presenting my paper the day after I hand in my dissertation, and a week after defending. I believe I am a worthy candidate for this scholarship.
