How my attendance/participation will contribute to my educational experience:
If giving the opportunity, this will be the first academic conference I will assist. Assisting and participating in this conference will expand my knowledge and contribute to my undergraduate education. It will give me the opportunity to present the results of my research to a varying audience, enhancing therefore my presentation skills. At the same time, I will be able to attend other presentations and learn about research and research techniques developed in other areas and disciplines. Presenting my research and attending others will promote mutual learning among participants and me. Learning about other topics and techniques will broad my research skills; skills that I can apply to my undergraduate works and latter on to my graduate research. While attending this conference, I will be able to meet people from varying disciplines; see the type of research they conduct and present the work I am interested in. Since I will pursue graduate studies, this networking will help me on the process of selecting and applying to graduate programs.
