How my attendance/participation will contribute to my educational experience:
Attending and presenting a poster at this conference will be a great opportunity for me to meet and interact with other professionals working to address urban issues. The multi-disciplinary aspects of this conference will allow me to expand my horizons in understanding how urban forestry fits into issues of urban sprawl and rural land conservation. Presenting my own research at the conference will strengthen my ability to talk about my research’s importance and where it fits in with the work that others are doing. I am excited about the opportunity to meet and talk with colleagues in fields other than urban forestry, and to gain feedback on my work.
